Let’s Play in Spanish immersion program was designed to:
- Teach children Spanish in an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
- Use songs, movement, music, and puppets to engage kids in learning Spanish.
- Solidify what kids learn through interactions with other children, teacher and parents.
- Teach kids at the age when they are biologically programmed to rapidly learn languages.
- Make learning FUN!
Let’s Play in Spanish first began classes in the year 2000 in the home of a friend. Over time, we grew into a creative, inspiring Spanish language learning program. Currently we have two locations – San Jose and South San Francisco. Our program offers Mommy and Me classes, Preschool and an After-School Program. We also offer an In Your School Spanish Immersion program, which is available in over 20 Bay Area schools. In order to provide an opportunity to study Spanish at home, we also created The Gift of Spanish CD, DVD and workbooks set. It provides plenty of opportunity for learning at home, in the car, and even on vacation.
In creating the program, I drew on my degree in Child Development Education, love of children, and experience in music and theater. Combining a scientific approach with music and entertainment allowed me to create interactive Spanish immersion programs for toddlers, preschool, kindergarten and elementary age children that are second to none. Our programs win Bay Area Parent Family Favorite Awards on regular basis. And the Gift of Spanish home study program has received TilliWig Brain Child, National Parenting Publications and Dr. Toy Best Vacation Children’s Products awards.
