Dear Parents,

Welcome! I’m Susy Dorn. I’m a teacher, preschool program director, singer-songwriter, puppeteer and I’m originally from Peru. I’ve had the privilege of teaching and entertaining young children in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than two decades.

I believe that early childhood is the best time for a child to learn a second language, and children love learning when it’s fun, musical, and interactive.

Let’s Play in Spanish first began teaching Spanish classes to kids in 2000 in my friend’s home. Over time, this small classroom grew into a creative and inspiring Spanish learning program.

I am grateful to have found this amazing way to bring together my degree in Child Development Education, love of children, and experience in music and theatre to create interactive Spanish immersion programs for toddlers, pre-school, kindergarten and elementary school age children.

Our program has grown largely by word-of-mouth and referrals from parents from the Silicon Valley and all over the Bay Area, who have been delighted to hear their children sing, communicate and understand the Spanish language.

Today, “Let’s Play” has touched the lives of thousands of children and their parents. Many of the children who attend are not native Spanish speakers, but some Spanish speaking families are delighted to join us to keep the language alive.

We have devoted ourselves to making Let’s Play in Spanish available to as many children as we can reach. I still teach in-person and online Spanish classes to kids. We also just launched our Learn@Home program, which is a platform for educational online Spanish videos. And schools across the country are licensing our curriculum.

We strongly feel that all children deserve the opportunity to learn another language when they are young. We hope that we can help them develop an appreciation for other cultures and traditions, as well as a respect for the values that unite us all.

Juguemos, siempre juguemos!
(Let’s play, let’s always play!)
