Maestra Susy

Teacher, Owner, & Founder
(Family & Me Teacher)

Susy is the creator & founder of Let’s Play in Spanish. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education from the Universidad Católica del Perú. She has 20 years of experience working with children and loving every moment of it. Susy has been singing before talking and dancing before walking. She comes from a long line of musicians, and performers. She has a tremendous passion for composing and creating music, as well as performing shows for children. So far, she has created 7 CDs with another on the way. She is a puppeteer and has created many characters like Juan el Tucán, la Gallina Catalina, Dante el Elefante, Ratón Ramón and many more.

She loves to spend time with her family. In her free time, you will find her at the beach in Santa Cruz. She keeps creating new music and dedicates time to helping street children in Perú.

Maestra Anna

In Your School Teacher

Maestra Anna is part of our In Your School Program, she is currently teaching at One World Montessori & Casa Di Mir. She graduated as a Software Engineer back in her hometown Venezuela, but after she moved to the United States 15 years ago, she discovered her passion for teaching kids. She has been teaching Spanish since 2008 and for the last 4 years, she has been part of the Lets Play in Spanish team teaching children at different schools.

She loves the energy and innocence of little kids and how they are always eager to learn and play at the same time. She loves spending time with her two daughters and husband and in her free time, she likes to exercise and go out with her friends.

Maestra Margarita

Parent Participation Preschool

Maestra Margarita has been teaching for over 20 years, she has been part of the Let’s Play in Spanish Team for 10 years now. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education from Perú. She loves teaching, is very animated, and loves to entertain children. She is very passionate about teaching Spanish and making a difference in children’s early developmental stages.

In her free time, she loves to shop and travel. She loves spending time with her daughter and husband.

Maestra Siury

After School Teacher

Siury Pulgar is a teacher, and School Finder, passionate about helping families make school choices with clarity and confidence. She holds a Master’s degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University and brings over 15 years of experience working with families and bilingual learners.

As a mother of two multicultural daughters and a longtime advocate for innovative, child-centered education, Siury knows the importance of nurturing both cultural roots and curiosity. She recently became a published co-author of an international best-selling parenting book, The Perfectly Imperfect Family, where she writes about how to choose schools that truly support each child’s uniqueness.

This fall, she’s excited to bring her love of language, family, and Latin American culture into the classroom through the joyful and engaging Let’s Play in Spanish program. Her teaching is playful, respectful, and grounded in strong educational values—designed to make families feel welcomed and children eager to learn.

Maestra Jimena

In Your School Teacher

Originally from Mexico City and a native Spanish speaker, she has spent more than 25 years dedicated to education, cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism. She has lived in Silicon Valley since 2013, where she continues to share her deep love for the Spanish language and the rich traditions of the Spanish-speaking world.
Certified as an English teacher since 1994, she taught high school for three years during her college years before expanding her career into Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism. With over 20 years of experience in this field, she has worked on projects ranging from traditional Mexican cuisine exhibitions to cultural festivals, museum installations, and international tourism fairs. Her work has focused on promoting cultural appreciation and intercultural dialogue through hands-on experiences and storytelling.
In 2017 she joined Let’s Play in Spanish, where she taught Spanish using Susy Dorn’s immersive, playful method. Since then, she has adapted this approach to create joyful, culturally rich Spanish-learning experiences for young children.
Her passion lies in guiding kids through a meaningful journey—where language, culture, nature, and imagination come together. Through songs, stories, and interactive activities, she invites children to experience the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world in a warm, engaging, and authentic way.
